From firefighting to predictable IT
IT was managed ad-hoc, with no monitoring and no asset tracking. During tax reporting season there were frequent outages, and problems were only fixed after they had already disrupted work.
We took over IT completely: a helpdesk with ticketing and SLAs, an RMM agent on every workstation for monitoring and automatic patching, standardised Windows images and verified daily backups. We consolidated email and files on Microsoft 365 with mandatory MFA.
After the first few months, the team stopped seeing IT as a source of stress. Proactive monitoring turned most interventions from urgent repairs into planned maintenance, and management now receives a clear monthly report on the state of the infrastructure and incidents. The relationship has grown into a long-term partnership with continuous improvements.
